Here is Your Chance to Fall in Love with theplace2b

We are celebrating three years of serving youth in our community. We have grown from serving a few kids a week to serving over thirty kids on a regular basis. Now we need your help to keep serving these amazing kids.

Join us in our fundraising event Falling for theplace2b!

What: A Skydiving Fundraising Event (no experience necessary!)

When: October 19, 2013

Where: Quad City Sky Diving Center in Geneseo

How: People who wish to dive need to raise $1000 and will then get to do a tandem jump.

That may seem like a lot of money, but we will help you reach your goal. We will be seeking donors who do not wish to jump to donate to our cause and spread the money around to those who wish to jump. Do your best and we will do our best to help you reach your goal!

Theplace2b opened in August 2010, geared up to help displaced, homeless or at- risk youth. The first youth referred to us was 17-yrs-old and came all the way from Arkansas, homeless and sleeping under someone’s bed. We began helping just one youth, and from there we have evolved to helping over 100 youth in the Quad City area. We provide youth with a meal, job skills, and a safe place to hangout. For many of youth that have come in here we have provided resources to other services in our community such as housing programs and referrals to other agencies. We have been lucky to have the support of our community through donations of food, clothing, and having generous volunteers.
