Theplace2b’s mission is to help youth, ages 14-18, develop hope, increase resiliency and create successful lives of which they can be proud.

Theplace2b is a safe haven for youth in Rock Island and Scott Counties, located in the YWCA Annex in downtown Rock Island at 1600 2nd Avenue.

The center is open from 4:00-8:00 pm, Monday through Friday, providing warmth, food, clothing, shelter, homework help, creative, programming, and counseling for the youth.

The numbers of homeless, displaced, and near homeless youth have been steadily increasing in the Quad-Cities.

theplace2b offers a variety of support services to these youth, ranging from housing options to counseling services to academic support.
